Myrantine Top and Cotton + Steel Pillows

Our latest Fiddlehead Shop Sample:

The Myrantine Top by Citronille:

We’re loving the latest collection of Cotton + Steel fabrics that have come into the shop! A really fun palette of rich teals and indigo, muted blues and lavender, and pops of red. Abby used the lovely “Fruit Dots” by Melody Miller to make our latest shop sample: the Myrantine Top by Citronille:

This pattern has a few options: it can be made with a contrasting bodice, and a ruffled collar:

Or without a collar (as in our sample):

Myrantine close

It is buttoned at the back. We love the delightful red contrasting buttons Abby used:

The Myrantine works well using quilting cottons, and alternative fabric options might be: eyelet cotton, lawn, poplin, Liberty, or double-gauze.

Pillows & Cats & Yarn Balls!

If you’re local you may have seen our window display and the sweet new pillows there! Also made with the latest collection of Cotton + Steel prints:

Abby made the standard-size pillowcase using “Cat Lady Pouncy Balls” in Dusty Green by Sarah Watts, and its cuff with “Cat Lady Friskers” in Lavender. Nitasia made the two Cat pillows using the same fabric. She hand-drew the pattern and used a satin stitch (tight zig-zag) to make the whiskers.
