Content: 100% Silk
With an elegant, natural sheen, and a tight plain weave, Dupioni silk is easy to sew and perfect for curtains, dressy clothing, home decor accents, and a workday or evening-wear blouse. Many quilters enjoy using dupioni silk in their work, either as accents, or for an entire luxurious quilt.

When several silkworms spin cocoons closely together, the tangled fibers produced are used to make Dupioni, or double, silk. It’s crisp, available in brilliant colors, and has irregular crosswide ribs. It is also reversible. Dupioni naturally resists wrinkles and takes creases well. Be sure to be precise when cutting out patterns; the fabric has little stretching ability. The edges will fray much more than cotton, and many people who work with it apply a light fusible interfacing such as shape-flex, Pellon's woven cotton interfacing.
It has been difficulty for us to capture both the color and the beautiful weave and sheen of this fabric in one photo. Please refer to the first image as the closest to the actual color, while noticing the sheen and weave in the other images.
