Sewaholic Patterns: Sewing the Cambie Dress

Natalia Rose, from Eat More Cheese, a great shop in Belfast, made a beautiful Cambie Dress from Sewaholic Patterns using a border print.

The Cambie dress has two skirt styles: view A with a fitted skirt, and view B, with a skirt gathered from a rectangle. This makes it a great pattern to use with a border print as it is hemmed straight across the rectangle, and none of the pattern will be lost as happens on the sides of curved hem lines.

Natalia wrote about her experience working with the pattern: “It was a very straightforward pattern, with clear and easy-to-follow directions. This is a good pattern for advanced beginners who want to stretch themselves and try some new techniques, such as lining a bodice.”
