Edward Gorey Curiosities - Origami Paper

What curiously lamentable tale might Edward Gorey tell with an origami urn, mustache, hat, envelope, and mouse? In the artist and author’s enigmatic works, connections are alluded to but rarely explained, often unfolding wordlessly with crosshatched intensity. Gorey himself appreciated the challenge of crafting illustrated anecdotes in moveable, multifold books. The intricacies of origami might have provided the same creative catnip as the anagrams and wordplay he adored—say, Goreyami, perhaps?
