Mei Tai Baby Carrier, Sew Liberated

The Mei Tai is a traditional Asian baby carrier that allows you to carry the baby in the front, on the back, or on the hip. Its wide straps and even distribution of weight across the back make it very comfortable.

There's no hardware or uncomfortable metal rings that pinch. The pattern also features an optional pocket that doubles as a stuff sack for storage when not in use.

The Mei Tai pattern features a unique internal “X-harness” for extra safety and back support for the baby. Also included is an optional pocket that doubles as a stuff sack for storage of the Mei Tai when not in use.
