Ajrak is a hand block printed fabric, primarily found in Sindh, Pakistan, and Kutch, India, known for its distinctive geometric and floral designs. The process involves carving motifs onto wooden blocks and printing them onto fabric, then using natural dyes like indigo, madder, and turmeric.
Our cottons from India are block printed by hand, resulting in a gorgeously unique fabric ideal for tops, scarves, jacket linings, quilts, and similar projects. The hand-printed nature of this fabric can result in variations of the print.
